My notes on Lawler’s Expected hitting times for a random walk on a connected graph.

Last summer I got fascinated by this paper by Lawler from the 1980s, that I really liked because of how elegant it was.

Even though I thought that the paper was very readable, I really wanted to understand it, and ended up kinda rewriting that paper in my own words. These notes are longer than the paper itself. Definitely too much time was spent on this but putting this up anyway.
